From Digital Overload to Forest Calm. I was delighted to be invited to talk about my Children’s Book, its purpose, my hopes and how the book came to be on TFBI’s All Nature Connected Podcast

I was asked to share my latest step on my path to serving wellbeing to people, both children and adults via my first published book - The Forest’s Secret: Helping Children To Discover The Magic Of Nature.

Step into the world of children’s nature connection with author, wellbeing practitioner, and certified forest bathing guide Nigel Grimes! Hosted by Olga from The Forest Bathing Institute, this warm, insightful interview explores Nigel’s beautiful new book “The Forest Secret: Helping Children to Discover the Magic of Nature”. Nigel draws on his own family story, years of guiding both adults and children in the woods, and a deep concern for the next generation’s wellbeing. The result? A book designed to gently guide children (and adults!) away from digital overload, and into playful, meaningful moments outdoors. Inside this interview:

  • Hear how the story of Amelia and her grandmother helps children find calm, confidence, and wonder in the natural world.

  • Discover why early, quality nature experiences shape emotional resilience, lifelong wellbeing, and care for our planet.

  • Learn how the book blends story, research-backed activities, mindfulness, sensory games, and stunning illustrations by talented young artists.

  • Nigel and Olga discuss real life barriers—from digital distractions to “scary woods” fairy tales—and how we can help kids, families, and educators build a positive, practical path into nature.

  • The science: Discover research by Professor Miles Richardson (University of Derby) showing that true health and pro-environmental action come not just from time in nature—but meaningful, mindful connection.

Nigel shares his inspiration: from family walks helping his adopted daughters thrive, to the vision of an intergenerational movement—all creating space for children, parents, and teachers to reconnect and pass along nature’s magic.

Psychreg Podcast - I was delighted to be invited to talk about my wellbeing work on Psychreg including Breathing Coaching

I was asked to share my path to serving people via my personal wellbeing journey and how my wellbeing knowledge and skills set continues to develop further:

Breathwork - Life Coaching - Meditation - Mindfulness - Forest Bathing - Japanese Walking

I discuss how poor breathing techniques mirrored by parents and carers can impact early life and long term cognitive and physical health.

I also describe what is forest bathing entails and how nature works to improve your health.

I also touch on my holistic approach and combinations of breathwork, breath training, mindfulness and forest bathing with life coaching. These combinations help people with their overall wellbeing and explore what truly matters to them and then finding a path to their heart’s desire.
