The Forest’s Secret Family Nature Adventure at Wimbledon Common
Helping Children Discover the Magic of Nature
Supporting Children’s Emotional Wellbeing Through Nature
Inspired by Nigel Grimes’ children’s book The Forest’s Secret, this 2-hour family nature experience invites children and grown-ups to slow down, explore, play and reconnect with the natural world.
Through storytelling, playful nature activities, sensory exploration and simple mindfulness experiences, children and grown-ups will discover how spending time in nature can help us feel calmer, happier, more connected and ready to explore.
Together, we’ll step away from screens and busy routines, slow down and discover the wonders of the natural world, while learning simple ways that are designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, self-regulation and emotional wellbeing.
